Room Passport

A record of what the room can actually do.

A Room Passport is caanoli's record of a room's performance — not a marketing sheet, not a single score, but a document that states plainly what was predicted, what was measured, and where those two things agree or don't.

Living room with a wall-mounted display, sectional seating, and open kitchen beyond — the kind of everyday room a Room Passport is built for

Two stages: predicted, then calibrated. Every Room Passport begins with a predicted state — the room's geometry, materials, and speaker/sub/seat placement run through the physics model before anything is built. That gives you nine profile scores and the reasoning behind each one, ready to act on before a single piece of equipment is purchased.

How a Passport grows

Predicted, then calibrated — never one pretending to be the other

Once the room exists, a calibrated state gets added — real REW measurement, taken on-site or reviewed remotely, layered onto the same document. Predictions are stated as predictions. Measurements are stated as measurements. When the two disagree, the gap updates the guidance, not the score — the Passport says where the model and the room parted ways, and why, rather than quietly reconciling the numbers to match.

What a Room Passport doesn't claim

Labeled for the stage it's actually at

Not every project reaches a calibrated state. A design-only engagement produces a predicted Passport and stops there; the calibrated stage gets added only once measurement — on-site or remotely reviewed — actually happens. A Passport is always labeled for the stage it's actually at, never presented as calibrated when it's still predicted.

Questions

Room Passport, plainly explained

What's included in a Room Passport?

A Room Passport begins as a prediction — the room's geometry, speaker and seat placement, physics, and recommended changes. Once measurement becomes available, it adds a calibrated state alongside that prediction, so both live in the same record.

Can I get a Room Passport without an on-site visit?

Yes. The predicted stage doesn't require a visit at all. The calibrated state can come from measurement you or your installer capture and send in, or from an on-site visit — either path adds to the same Passport.

What happens if the predicted and measured results disagree?

The Passport shows the gap rather than resolving it quietly. Predictions stay labeled as predictions, measurements stay labeled as measurements, and where they differ, that difference updates the guidance — not the score.

Does a Room Passport ever change after it's created?

Yes. A Passport is a living record, not a one-time snapshot — it updates as new measurement comes in or as changes are made to the room, with each stage kept alongside the ones before it rather than overwriting them.

A great system deserves a measured room.
